The August Break 2014 - morning

 Just outside my office door sunshine coming into the yard early morning.
 Time for tea.
 My morning toast must always be cut in half.
My mother would do that for me when I was sick;
so it brings comfort each morning and a remembrance.
A plum cut up from our tree just outside the front door.
Two cute little green plums given to me by a friend.
Morning has it's ritual.
Do you have a morning ritual?
or do you like to shake it up a bit?

What I love about retirement is the leisurely morning routine. My husband prepares my breakfast and we sit across the table from one another - he reading the paper and me looking at blogs. We chat and share things of interest and there is no rush until the dog can't take it any longer and insists we go out to the beach.

I would love to have a morning ritual. I seem to always be rushing to work.

My morning ritual is the same every day, and I wouldn't think of changing it up. The first thing I do is feed the chickens, feed and water the cats and dogs. I take Daphne and Chip for a morning walk, then sit on my swing in my outdoor sanctuary for prayer and meditation. The dogs are so used to this routine, they are to the swing before me! Then it's breakfast of an english muffin with peanut butter and raw honey and a cup of hot cocoa. Same thing, everyday!

I love when the sunlight falls across things so visibly golden. It makes me sleepy though.

I don't have a morning ritual at all but have thought it might be nice to develop one!

I usually get up at first light and wake up perusing blogland. I need an hour or two before the Mr. gets up for coffee together. If I don't get my time I'm a bit of a grouch! Haha! You seem to be having a nice August break!

BEAUTIFUL MORNING, Marilyn! I love mornings. And I love morning rituals. And tea is definitely among my morning rituals. Tea a small bite to eat, prayer/yoga, and if there's enough time a little reading & writing. I like a gentle start to the day. :o) It's morning here as I write this... Happy NEW Day ((HUGS))
