Walk with Me - grandson

Recently I invited a 4 year old photographer, my grandson, to come on a walk with me.
The only instructions were to take pictures of things you liked or you noticed.
As you see, the first two photos he embellished.

For me I was taking picture over the fence, but from his perspective
he took through the fence.
The first 6 photos are his and only his from his perspective
and his child's digital camera.
I love how the one right below turned out.
It was a cloudy day, but perfect for a walk.
Now the last three are mine and I just couldn't help capturing
my photographer walking along the Willamette River in downtown Portland.
He was looking and snapping away.

We found this fish in the sidewalk and he wanted his new shoes in the picture.
What fun to walk with another photographer and see how they
view our surroundings.

Are you walking?
Find another photographer and take a walk on the wild side.

Pretty good, you would never know they were taken by a 4 year old!

How wonderful you are taking D walking and teaching him to be a photographer - a hobby he will always enjoy hopefully. I recall our day by the river - a lovely time with you.

My goodness... the photography gene does get passed along! ;) What a terrific job little D did with the photos. I hope he will always enjoy noticing things, and taking pictures! Happy Days to you all ((HUGS))

What fun to have your young photographer walk with you! He has a great eye for his 'craft' and may have a future ahead with photography. It's good that he is walking with you!

You are doing a fine, good thing. I remember having a camera when I was small -- a little Brownie. And I've been hooked ever since.

I think Junior Photog has a really nice eye! Good for you -- and what a good rule to give him as a starter.

Thank you, D, for letting your grandmother share your photos. I really liked them and your special effects.

But my favorite was #3! I loved how it captured nature in so many stages…the water and the tall object in the background…the different stages of nature sleeping during the winter months, some with cloud like pillows along with the green puffs and the gravel. A favorite for sure!

Cool shoes too:*)

Marilyn I think he has a future in photography! Awesome photos!! I mentioned this idea to my niece who is 13 and is going through kind of an identity crisis. She loved the idea, and will soon be walking with me. I can't wait!!

These are darling! And oddly enough, I *am* walking with a little boy these days, my seven-year-old neighbor, Ethan, who came up to me one day last year during one of my afternoon walks and asked if he could walk with me. I get asked fun things like, "Why don't you ever wear a hat?" and he asks lots of questions about my husband, my grandkids, my friends ... it's fun having a little person along for the ride!

You are opening up the world to him! He is a lucky little boy to have a grandmother that shares her interests and love with him!
