Afternoon Tea in the Park

It was tea time at Washington Park just yesterday.
Friends gathered together to share a cup of tea or two.
There were the little sandwiches that's for sure.
Scones with bergamot curd, delightful!
Fruit to make our hearts sing.
Beauty all around.

Our cups were waiting.
Black teas from Taiwan to imbibe.
Raindrops didn't scare us.
We found shelter in the original Elephant House.

Conversation was enjoyable.
Friendship is the best, but
over a cup of tea my afternoon was blessed.

Gosh Marilyn, even I've never had a real afternoon tea in an elephant house! What a beautiful looking teatime this was - the strawberry wholewheat(?) scones look delish, as does everything else. Love the blue transferware alongside the hydrangeas. Know that was a fun time.......you Oregon gals certainly know how to do tea I think!!

Love and hugs - Mary

Oh, Marilyn -- this is stunning. Love the blue and white! How much fun to be with friends like that -- can't wait till I'm retired and I know I can rope in at least two or three to make a tea with!
