In the Pink!

Pink, pink, you stink!
Did you ever say that as a child?
All the girls when growing up loved pink;
so just to be different I chose yellow.
Yellow was quite maligned and out of favor.
It was a happy color just for me.

As I have gotten much older
I am learning to enjoy Pink.
I can't even believe I am saying that,
as I ignored Pink for way too long.
But, yes!  All of a sudden I am liking Pink.
It surprises me still.

Pink is beginning to appear on my tea table
and in my china cupboard.
Tea time is a delight of the color Pink.

What is your favorite color?
Has it changed as you have gotten older?
I still love yellow, don't get me wrong;
but Pink can stay around and tickle me with delight.

Beautiful pink tea setting. Is that pink teapot a Sadler? It's lovely! I like the color of pink, but my all-time favorite color that has never changed is light blue.

Beautiful pink, beautiful table, and I "know" there is a beautiful yard just beyond the windows. I have a majority of pink teawares, but I've been adding a lot of violet recently. Hmm... is purple my new favorite color?

I used to favor periwinkle blue. Now it's aqua and brown. It's so restful.

Lovely soft colors... such pretty photos. And, no, I never heard that saying! When I was younger, my bedroom walls were painted gold, but now, I seem to favor a softer green palate.

Pink was always my favorite color but now I'm much more likely to choose the aqua/turquoise colors. I've heard our tastes change as we age ... I do wonder why that is!

Blue has always been, and continues to be my favourite colour. My mother always said that I looked best in pink, though, and so when she made clothes for my sister and me, she had the blue ones and I had the pink ones. So I avoided pink for many years. And I think it really fell out of favour, especially in fashion, until a few years ago. Now, I'm liking pink more (and have to admit my mother is right about pink suiting me.)
Lovely pink photos, Laura.

Orange is my favorite. Like you, I shunned pink for a long time. But I'm learning to love it too. That window scene is magnificent!

Yellow was always my fave color as a kid -- or 'lellow' as I called it. I like pink fine now -- especially really rich, hot pinks. But I think my favorite is the palette that starts at aqua and ends at rich teal or turquoise!

Thank you for your visit. I love pink, and your setting is so inviting. The perfect place for a heart to heart with a dear friend. It's funny, as a young girl I didn't really like pink, but now that I have grown up, I love every shade of pink! xo Lidy@FrenchGardenHouse

What a HAPPY image... And my FAVE color...*swoon*... ;o) LOVE that pink-edged cloth... It's never too late of pink! I've loved the color all my life, even as a baby, my Mom says. I love it even more as I grow older and I use it a lot in my art work and wardrobe especially. It is the color of love and happiness. :o) Pink is the color of my soul. ((I do have a great fancy for aqua blue too. ;o) Happy Days, Marilyn ((HUGS))

A pretty table setting. I like pale pink - it can be a refreshing change after all the reds and greens of the Christmas season. However, my favourite colour is blue.

I used to love the bright intense colors of zinnias but as I grow older I'm drawn to the softer pastels. I love a bouquet on my coffee table all times of year .

I love pink, but it is third on my list. White and aqua are my favorites.

I like pink in small doses; it can be charming. And it's good to change! :) My fave is teal blue/green.
