When you Wish upon a Star

Let's have some music today. Click HERE to dream.
Listening this morning to these two beautiful voices brought tears to my eyes.

Lyrics:
When a star is born
They possess a gift or two
One of them is this
They have the power to make a wish come true
When you wish upon a star
Makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires will come to you
If your heart is in your dream
No request is too extreme
When you wish upon a star
As dreamers do
Fate is kind
She brings to those who love
The sweet fulfillment of their secret longing
Like a bolt out of the blue
Fate steps in and sees you through
When you wish upon a star
Your dreams come true
When you wish upon a star
Makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires will come to you
If your heart is in your dream
No request is too extreme
When you wish upon a star
As dreamers do
Fate is kind
She brings to those who love
The sweet fulfillment of their secret longing
Like a bolt out of the blue
Fate steps in and sees you through
When you wish upon a star
Your dreams come true

Did you ever see the movie of Pinocchio?
Oh how Geppetto wanted a little boy so much, he made it happen through
 action, magic and wishing.
What do you wish for in 2020?
Let's wish upon a star and send positive thoughts out into the world.

My wish has been for more adventures, more dreams come true.
Honestly I don't do well sitting still.
I learned last year I need to have dreams, I need adventures,
even if they are a walk in my neighborhood or in my garden.
I need to let my imagination go a bit wild at times;
so dreaming on a star just makes sense.
I need the twinkle of stars or a glimpse of a sliver moon.

What do you need? Are you dreaming, dear friends?
Let's all wish upon a star tonight.

What a wonderful post, Marilyn. And I want to thank you for always encouraging us to dream and hope and wish. Is this the song at Disney. I know the girls would love this song, as Disneyland is their second home haha.

I hope the new year is being kind to you.

Totally agree with you, Marilyn. I think it's quite necessary to have dreams, projects, and adventures as long as we live. I was recently editing a book for an 89-year-old gentleman who has just written his memoir (he still goes to his store for 12 hours a day), and I asked him why he never retired. He looked at me like I was mad and asked, "What would I do?" Indeed. P.S. The song was beautiful! Glad you had us listen to it.

A beautiful and thought provoking post -- and of course, one of my favorite songs. Too many wishes tonight, though!

Somehow this beautiful post 'hid' from my feed. I'm so glad it popped up after I thought I was all caught up. Thank you for sharing this great song by these two fabulous voices. I, too, dream and hope for things and I've found that I must get busy and do something to make those dreams come true. Life gets so busy and there's so much that calls to me that overtakes what I really want to do. My heart calls me to plan and DO this year and for as long as I can.
