Simple Things

Whiskers on kittens

Sunshine on the grapes
Tasting grapes
A crispy apple
A child's smile
Lavender fields
Rain drops on Roses
Candles burning on a dark night
Flowers in the garden and in vases in my house
Lovely pot of tea
Cookies
Walking through the leaves
Wind blowing through my hair
Walking on the beach with the waves crashing nearby
Blue skies
Fluffy Clouds
Sunshine on my shoulders
A hug from a friend
Time spent with a dear friend or family
A good book that captures my imagination
Neighbors dog sticking her nose through the fence for a scratch
Listening to Christmas Carols starting in September

I want to break into songs of joy as I make this list.
These are a few of my favorite "simple" things.

Oh, Marilyn - So many of these things would be on my simple list. I think I'll make one today as I plan to begin my visual journal project. Something I've wanted to do for so long but just haven't stopped to do! My simple list will be a perfect start. And thank you for 'giving me permission' to start listening to Christmas music. I bought a new Christmas CD from an artist who visited our church yesterday. I was going to make myself wait - but why? I'm home today, working around the house and preparing for holiday things in advance. Why not Christmas music? I think I will! ~Adrienne~

P.S. - The kitty looks much like my Savannah, except she has a black 'smudge' on her nose. I often tell her I think it's because she' been snooping in the fireplace!

Those are all very good things indeed, Marilyn. I quite agree. not sure from this list what Id put first.

I loved the Carols in Spetember one, btw.

BUT, but, you forgot hot buttered toast--ahh the smell ans taste of it with that good pot of tea to wash it all down. Ahhh.

Looking forward to hobnobbing with you at teh tea. do be sure to say hello on the blog to me and the others. And I will be sure in a few posts to give a special shout out to you for your generous promotion of the blog tea. Free advertising after all.
