Joy in a Teacup

Recently on another blog I saw Joy in a teacup.
I loved the concept and wanted my own picture of Joy.
A friend gave me a Christmas cup this past summer, as she was moving and could not take everything with her. The short friendship was a joy and I was thrilled that she would want me to treasure her teacup. She gave me Joy.
I also feel Joy as I wrap my hands now around the teacup
and Joy comes tumbling out, filling me.
What brings you Joy this Christmas season?

What a sweet tribute. I hope your friend sees this post.

What is bringing me joy this season? Well, in a word - "Don". He has been so full of surprises the past couple of weeks. The joy of the season is positively gleeful, I would say.

My tree. I use to ditch school as a child just to look at the Christmas tree. It never fails to bring me joy to see the twinkly lights and the beauty of decorations.

As someone who is often accused of being "literal" to a fault, I especially enjoyed reading this! Joy in a teacup - love it!

There are two things. The creche set I had as a child and a tiny one a dear friend gave me from when she was a child.

My cup is full of joy this morning as I sit here crunching my usual slice of toast and marmalade! The sun is back, the high winds and dreary rain of yesterday gone. The wrens are chirping on the porch, a grey kitty just came to drink from the fountain - the decorative snowflakes are gently swaying in the window. Life is good - remembering (and of course being with) friends always brings JOY.

Enjoy your day Marilyn. Love your cozies - and have entered the lovely giveaway as I really need a new one!!

P.S. The Josephine Baker story was interesting - thanks for directing me there. Bet you enjoyed visiting her castle.

This is one of my most favorite images of yours ever. EVER.

Music, gorgeous haunting, sacred carols bring me joy.
