Off to Bruges, Belgium

Not often would I rave about places we stay, but upon the recommendation
of a friend we found ourselves staying three nights at this amazing garden house
in Bruges, Belgium.
This first photo is the view from the garden house to the owners house on the
other end of the property.  Her house was built in the 1600's and the garden
house was added in the 1800's just to sit in and view the garden.
Just the entrance to the garden house took my breathe away.
The property was surrounded by a tall stone wall and
we had our own very old door in the wall to exit and enter.
Inside it was set for tea.
We could sit by this window and view the garden.
Breakfast was freshly made with homemade yogurt and
more food than we could eat.  It was brought into us each
morning and set at the table.
The stairs were a bit steep to the bedroom and bathroom,
but we were able to navigate them.

The upstairs was added at a later date so that the
garden house could be used for guests.
The bathroom looked over the roof line to these views.

The view just outside the wall.
It truly felt like an enchanted little house and garden.

I can highly recommend for a peaceful place near
the center of the historic area.
A perfect place for Jim to recuperate from his fever and sleep.
Can you believe it, I am away for the weekend, but will return
later Sunday; so if your comments don't show up right away
that is the reason.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Oh how I love these photos. The clothes hanging on the line - I saw a farm the other day as we were traveling rural and I thought - wow, I haven't seen that for a while. I sure enjoyed this posting!

A beautiful B & B Marilyn, you must have felt right at home!
It's no fun feeling poorly when travelling but Jim had nice surroundings to rest up!
