What Can I Say, Let's start at the End!

 What can I say!
When traveling there is always time for tea.
Sometimes they are not planned and
sometimes the occasion just arises and I can't resist.
This was such an occasion that on the last day
I found we could get reservations at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel,
on the 23rd floor, in Las Vegas.
I was so excited, as I had seen pictures of other
tea bloggers having tea here.
So on the last day of our southwest adventure we had tea.
Now isn't that a perfect way to end the trip?
Everything was so fresh and tasty, just a delight!
Smoked salmon and tartar cream on brioche bun
Curry chicken, trumpet mushroom and
Asian persimmon on sesame cone
Egg salad and chives on croissant bread
Black forest ham sandwich
I did leave the blueberry scone
and just enjoyed the cream scone
with Devonshire cream and cherry jam on one side
and cranberry marmalade on the other.

And the desserts were a sigh of fullness and satisfying deliciousness.
The green was a matcha puff pastry
Mango tart
Layered berry pastry
Blueberry tart
In my cup was the hotels signature tea,
a flavored orange black tea.

The view was spectacular.
The service impeccable.
The afternoon time for tea just the perfect
ending to an adventure in the sun.

I've told Rick I'm never going back to Las Vegas -- but if I'm forced to, I might make this my primary stop! It looks fabulous and so do you! Welcome home.

What a fabulous experience! So glad it simply 'happened' without advance planning - it was meant to be! Everything looks so gourmet and tasty. Welcome home!

Tea to cap off a trip... that is perfect, I love that! And love this photo of you so happy! :))) What a beautiful place, and what a beautiful tea you had! The china, the presentation is lovely. Those mini desserts are tiny art works in themselves! The Beauty Way... Oh, those Navajo words, really shake up the soul... to live a life guided by beauty...YES! I want to think about those words today... ((HUGS))

What a great way to end your adventure! I'll have to have tea there when we get a chance to go that way!
