Walk Alone

Recently I read a quote that said to do one thing
each day that was out of your comfort zone to grow.
That has given me something to think about
as I am often here at home and don't see myself
doing things outside of my comfort zone on a daily basis.
Yesterday as I was walking in my neighborhood
I thought about this and realized I was actually doing
something outside of my comfort zone.
No, I wasn't walking in short bloomers like these girls,
but I was walking alone.
Most often my husband walks with me and
it is a time for conversation; but he couldn't go yesterday.
It felt out of my comfort zone to walk alone.

Do you encourage yourself to do things outside of your comfort zone?
What are they?

I like that little challenge. To me, it goes along with a quote I love of John C. Maxwell's:

"You will never change your life until you change something you do daily."

Choosing to do one little thing to move out of our comfort zone will surely help us to change and grow!

Writing more of my 'heart' in my blog is really pushing my comfort zone. And I've been working on that more of late.

Thanks for the reminder! Wishing you the best day.......

I need to make myself step outside of my comfort zone. Thanks for the reminder that it is okay to do so!

I almost went out of my comfort zone yesterday, Marilyn. I almost drove 30 minutes up the road, on my own. The object would be to "shoot" the Brahm cows at the crossroads of Lander Ave. and Hwy 140. I've been wanting to do this for a while, but something held me back yesterday.

It's hard for me to drive off by myself in seach of backroad and crossroad adventures. Now, as I read your post, I think that I really MUST do something about that.

Driving to my brothers home, 4 hours away, was something I thought I'd never be able to do, now it's a treat to get in the car and go. I'm so glad I did it, it's opened up a new part of my life.
Good for you Marilyn, onward and upward!!

Great thought - I'm going to work on getting out of my comfort zone. A little bit. Every day!

Oh, I like this challenge, too, Marilyn! This gives me something to think about as well. I tend to be a creature of habit, so am often in a comfort zone of one kind or other, I realize. The creative workshop I'm doing current has me thinking outside of my box, though--and this has been a tremendous thing in terms of what I create, and even some personal discoveries. I'd like to be as brave & bold as these bloomer girls here. This all has me thinking! Happy Day ((HUGS))

I almost did it this morning, literally stepping out of my comfort zone and taking a 5 AM walk in the dark! Then I thought more and decided to just drive on home where if was safe and comfy! What was I doing out that early? Dropping DH at the airport for his 6 AM fight to Dallas - now I'm thinking clean house or comment on lovely blogs - as you can see you won that one!!!!!!

Yes, I do. But, more often, I need a push from someone who loves me. One thing I am doing lately is photographing strangers. YIKES! Makes me so nervous.

Hmmm ... I guess I don't often do things out of my comfort zone but this has given me something to think about. I mean, why not? (I've always liked that phrase about how well-behaved women rarely make history!)
