It's Beginning to Look Like Christmas!

Deepwood Estate this Christmas
What a delight!
Just imagine the smell of steeping hot cider
a cookie or two.
Music playing throughout.
A special time shared with a sister for the holiday season.
The costumes were a delight.
The trees such a sight.
With the hustle and the bustle,
it was a brief time to just savor the time.

I find I get so wrapped up in the preparations,
I often don't take time just to enjoy.
Sit back and just breathe in the colors, the smells,
the sounds, and the flavors.
So today I am doing just that for awhile.
Tomorrow I will be back to the rush to get it done.

Enjoy the day!

Oh my, I'm inspired. I'm taking myself up to McHenry Mansion in Modesto so I can enjoy their Christmas cheer. It will be much like this.

I love the lady playing the harp. That must have been delightful. I wonder if you got dressed up in costume too?

Oh, I love Deepwood - especially when the wisteria is blooming. I've been missing my blog-hopping time, and I wanted to pop in with a quick hello. I've been missing you. I hope you are having a very, very wonderful holiday season. Merry Christmas, friend.

What a relaxing time Marilyn, I too need to take that moment, to just breathe and enjoy. Thanks for the reminder!

LOVELY... love the Victoria flavor. With trying to do all the daily things, get ready for the holidays and reno happening at home, it's been tough finding enough slow-down moments. This was a breather I needed--thanks, Marilyn! I have a post /photo to publish on Monday, but I will be away form the pc sometimes next week to enjoy some festive time with family & friends. Happy Holidays, my friend ! ((HUGS))

I had a "slow down" day this week myself (to enjoy tea with ParTea Lady) and it was a much-needed break from the hustle and bustle. I think we all need one of those long about now!
