Time to Plant

Your Seed Pouch

Lanterns
Hang from the night sky
So that your eye might draw
One more image of love upon your silk canvas
Before sleep.

Words from Him have reached you
And tilled a golden field inside.

When all your desires are distilled
You will cast just two votes:

To love more,
And be happy.

Take the sounds from the mouth-flute of Hafiz
And mix them into your seed pouch.

And when the Moon says,
“It is time to
Plant,”

Why not dance,
Dance and
Sing?

~ Hafiz

I love the idea of mixing sounds into your seed pouch. In fact, the whole idea of a seed pouch is both poetic and very visual! Love the swag!

I recall the 'planting' by the moon' in Tuscany - the droning of the tractors crossing the high fields with their headlights on, the moon shining down helping light their way.

What a beautiful poem Marilyn - are you saving seeds from all those lovely flowers in your garden? Here's to singing and dancing - followed by a nice cup of tea!

Off to see Vanessa tomorrow - lots of treasure hunting planned - also a visit to IKEA as we don't have one around here.

Happy weekend - love, Mary

So pretty. I'm going to try to plant a food garden, I need to have it ready by September first.
