Flee to Tea

Though I cannot flee
From the world of corruption,
I can prepare tea
With water from a mountain stream
And put my heart to rest.

Such a timely haiku to read, Marilyn. My restless heart is so saddened by the ugly politics of today and the knowledged that there is no place to hide, to run away to, anymore. But, there is always a cup of soothing tea.

What wonderful words for a special event like having tea.Or coffee, for that matter. It's all about the ceremony.

How true this poem is... We borrow beautiful images and things to steal away from a mixed up world!
