Special Spring Bulb

Can you tell I am thinking of Spring?
I can't help it, every year it is the same.
Spring flowers just sit in my heart and bring such JOY.
As you will see in the top right picture,
this is an unusual bulb sitting in the dish.
It is called a "crab" bulb.
It can develop from a regular bulb.

The bulb is blooming right now and
it has the scent of Spring time in my house.
With the light coming in the window
it is very happy to smile for me and I smile in return.

What is making you smile today?

Your flowers are making me smile and this bright February day with sunshine and warmer temps and the snow is melting. I hope you are smiling too.
Love and hugs

Oh how I want spring, Marilyn, right now we are calling for 6-10" of new snow! It makes me happy though, knowing spring will come, hopefully Phil is right!

That's an unusual plant. The Spring flowers are very pretty. Organising a lunch and meeting for senior citizens today was a rewarding experience.

So pretty! Our neighbours brought us three pots of bulbs like this and amidst the crazy cold weather, it's lovely to have these touches of spring. Nice photo w/ the light and shadow!

sigh....

I can smell them from here. Remind me to tell you sometime about a field full of daffodils.

What makes me smile today ... hmmm ... did you see that video of the baby girl who wakes up in the car when a certain song comes on? Now THAT makes me smile!

Right before Christmas someone gave me some paper whites to force and because I was panicky with travel and the holiday they went somewhere in the garage. I'm really hoping I can find them soon -- otherwise, they'll just pop at regular season! This is awfully pretty!

Beautiful! I can't get enough flowers this month! I've been buying daffodils every time I'm at the grocery store. xo
