Healing in our Planet World

Sitting here this morning over my cup of tea and toast,
enjoying the words written of a young girl growing up in India.
The Midnight Rose by Lucinda Riley, a book worth reading.
A different time, a different world.
My heart was in prayer for those in different parts of the world.
Tears came to my eyes as I prayed for hurts, illness, and strife.
I was reminded to also pray for our past president, Jimmy Carter.
So many suffer from cancer, an illness that must be cured.
Cancer also is like hatred that eats away at so many.
My prayer today is that what ever form of cancer, may it be an
illness or of hatred, be healed from our planet world.

Please join me over your cup of tea to pray for
 our planet world and healing.

I so relate to your post today Marilyn, and in total agreement.
So sad about President Carter, I feel he has been a great promoter of peace and humbleness before God. He has my prayers.

Ah, won't it be wonderful when cancer is cured? I have an aunt suffering from it just now - such a wretched disease that decimates body and soul. Tea and prayer go well together.

SO beautifully stated, Marilyn. You are so right about the world's hurt. The Jimmy Carter news deeply disturbed me -- he has always been a favorite of mine.

I'm late here and catching up with your posts dear friend.
Your words have hit home as my sweet neighbor was hospitalized just yesterday. Things aren't sounding good at all for her as cancer is the dreaded word hanging over us all right now - more tests today.
Jimmy Carter despite his sorry presidency, is a great man and has done so much good since leaving the White House. I shared a ride in a tiny plane in Africa with Rosalyn Carter - Jimmy was working hard in Jo-Burg and she was bird-watching - and found her to be delightful, also so proud as she spoke about Jimmy. I hope he does better very soon.
Yes, there are many to pray for - the Thai bombing victims and their loved ones come to mind - I stayed very close to that shrine when in Bangkok! One just never knows when life will change in an instant.
Hugs - Mary
