Step Softly

Quietly I rise to a morning fresh with dew
Softly I walk, tiptoeing along the wooden bridge
I know there are secrets yet revealed
My eyes must open wide
For today is the day
I know I will find
the secrets of the countryside
the river will share
the beauty to display
of rainbows in the water
Is today the day I catch that fish?
Soon I will don my waders and
traverse here
My dream is to be a fishergirl
and catch that golden fish.

sweet and beautiful....

i put my beta in my favorite pond yesterday. i couldn't take another day of having to clean out a stinky fishbowl...

i wonder if he's still alive or if a bigger fish ate him.

or if a beta can even live in a pond.

Sounds like you need to join Sisters on the fly. Get your own vintage trailer and head out to go fly fishing with some cool ladies. Back home...so glad.

Gorgeous photos and great thoughts. I agree that you need to join Sisters On The Fly - but first you need that cute, little vintage trailer you dream of. If you haven't checked out their website, you should. I can visualize you (and me, too!) joining them.

I simply adore fishing creels. There's something about them that captures my heart and my imagination. And your poem is a perfect accompaniment!
