Winter of my Delight

Winter

Wind ~ branches wave at me and reach for the sky
Rain ~ turns the grass green in the Spring
Snow ~ hushes the earth and beautifies
Cold ~ wrapped in warm wooly mittens and scarves
Fire ~ warmth and glow to sip tea by
Dark ~ light the candles and savor the glow
Delight ~ small pleasures each day to notice and find JOY

My tree you have seen before was shedding it's leaves in autumn.
Now it is bare, it is resting, it is swaying in the breeze.
Let's savor this time of rest and anticipate new growth in the spring.

I am learning to rejoice in Winter.

Such an expressive tree in any season.

Yes, I have been learning over the past few years that winter has its own pleasures!

Just simply LOVELY....our forest outside my window is resting and the trees are bare and beautiful! I love seeing how the branches join the trunk....no two trees are alike.. a forest without leaves on it's trees is just as stunning as one filled with leaves .hugs to you my friend...Happy New Year. xoxo

'Tis the season... and each season offers such good lessons in learning to love it all over again. :o) Happy Days, Marilyn ((HUGS))

I loved seeing your beautiful old tree when I visited - I know you enjoy it's waving branches in all seasons and all weathers.

Lovely words Marilyn, and yes, it's the small pleasures of each day that are most special.

Love, Mary
