Happy May 1st

You may be saying why is this Happy May 1st and I am sharing an
old photo of my children.
Well my children are all grown up now,
but this is their birthday today.
People often tell me I am good at planning,
but this was not planned to have them on the same day 4 years apart.
We always told our son that he got a baby sister for his 4 year birthday present.
So you see, May 1st has extra meaning for all of us here in my house
and we will celebrate May Day.

Did you know in France giving someone a bouquet of Lily of the Valley
will bring good luck?  What a special way to celebrate the day.
Maybe just a bouquet of flowers to surprise a neighbor or a friend
could warm the heart and make the day extra special.
Find your special way of celebrating the day.
Happy May 1st to you!

What a darling photo! They look like they took their roles seriously as models in a western scene. Happy birthday to your children! They look like miniature versions of their adult selves. May there be a coordinating photo of a little grandchild --- something similar to create a series? ;)

I just adore this photo! They're wonderful!

I've heard of the French tradition -- I wish my Lilies of the Valley were up. They're on the north side of the house. Rick's aren't in flower but at least they have strong, tall shoots. Well, late lily means that when we do the flowers at the cemetery on Memorial Day, we're more likely to be able to leave some!

Such a sweet photo... and how sweet both your children born on the same day, but years apart. That is very special. And makes celebrating "easy" ;o) Happy day belated to you all there... ((HUGS))

A delightful photo, Marilyn. May Day is very special in your household. Since it's my birthday month I'm very fond of lily-of-the-valley. My pot of the plant given to me by my daughter is just beginning to bud up and should be out for my birthday.

Wonderful photo and what a memorable day for your family! I love the miguet des bois tradition in France - bouquets are sold in every neighbourhood, usually for just 5 or 6 euros each!

Hey, some of the best people were born in May! ;)

And wow, you DID do some serious planning to have your children born on the same day. Now that's efficiency at its finest!
