Still Life

A few weeks ago I put Lightroom on my computer,
then the very next day I signed up for a 1 year online class
with Kim Klassen to do still life photography.
Whew! What a learning curve.
Here are some of my first photographs.
A crate was recommended for setting up a still life
and I realized I was keeping my props in a crate.
Unpacking the crate I played with apples and leaves.
Then as a backdrop I found a vintage chalk board works really well.
One rose, a vintage vase from my mom, and a chalk board
all agreed to play with me.
At the very end the rose dropped it's petals in exhaustion.
What fun I am having!
What struggles in learning!
Time consuming, YES!
But all in all, it delights my heart.

What is delighting your heart today?

You have delighted my heart today!

Today my heart is delighted that I finally managed to plant my rose bush. I'm ashamed to admit it's been sitting in a bucket of water all summer long waiting for me to get the spot ready. Finally done!! :-)
I love your photos! I've been looking for a photography course to take, I'll look into the Kim Klassen one.

Oh, how fun! You'll enjoy it all so much. Playing with photos can be addicting - I wish I had more time to do it. Love the rose - she held up well!

The online art lessons are a good way to learn new ways of creating beautiful photos and your still life ones you've shared are lovely. Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a message. I hope you have a relaxing time with your relative in the week ahead.

I love the image and I love the idea of using the crate as your "studio set up" space. It really works for the images you did but it would work for so much. Thanks! Tip of the day!
