Walk with Me - Purple Haze Lavender Farm

On the recent adventure north while driving through Sequim, Washington
there was a stop at Purple Haze Lavender Farm.
This is one of my favorite lavender farms in that area.
Yes, there are many of them and right now they are celebrating lavender.
My "live-in gardener" and I walked through the lavender.
Oh so beautiful and the scent, WOW!
We found a yellow plant growing
in among the lavender, it smelled of curry.
It is commonly called the curry plant.
Amazingly this farm extracts the oil from it
and makes a spray, which I purchased.
I had a reaction to the sun this year with a rash
and the spray has finally healed the rash.
But we were here for the lavender and we weren't disappointed.
It is always amazing to walk through a garden
and this one was extra special.
I have heard the ice cream is delicious,
but I enjoyed some lavender lemonade instead.
Now is the time to find lavender fields and go walking.

Mariln, what a beautiful purple haze lavender farm. How nice that you got to walk along here and smell the scent of lavender. These are great pictures, and I can smell the lavender from here. : )

Happy July days.

I wish they had invented scratch-and-sniff technology to go with this blog post! Lovely photos. Reminds me so much of a now-gone herb shop that a friend of mine operated years ago. For some reason, I was thinking of it over the weekend and wished I could go there again just to sniff around for a while. Lavender is such a soothing scent, isn't it?

What a wonderful sign - I could enjoy doing all that! I've had lavender ice cream at a farm here in NC - it was awesome!
