Monday's Tea Quote

The first cup moistens my lips and throat.
The second shatters my loneliness.
The third causes the wrongs of life to fade
gently from my recollection.
The fourth purifies my soul.
The fifth lifts me to the realms
of the unwinking gods."
~Chinese mystic, Tang Dynasty
Where are you on the list?
How many cups of tea have you sipped today?
Pictures taken in the window of the Camas Antique Mall.
Beautiful Russian teaware.
I love that for a few moments I can step into
this window and pretend I am sitting there having tea.

My goodness... the quote and all that lovely blue & white & guilded china--be still my heart!! I like Russian china like that. And what a beautiful window dressing all in all! My first cup is a wake up for my mind, and it opens my heart and mouth to meet the day. The second cup, usually in late morning/early afternoon helps me focus more. The third cup, later in the afternoon is pure delight as it is often accompaniment to some yarn-y work or other. The fourth, an evening drink, and usually herbal is for inducing relaxation and rest. Very practical list, but lots of room in it for the sheer delight of a cuppa--any time of day! :) Happy Week, Marilyn ((HUGS))

No tea but I have had my first can of Tab! I think he should have added that the sixth sends you to the bathroom.

Lovely photos, Marilyn!
