Notes from the Garden

Portland is known as the City of Roses.
Each Spring it delights my heart to see them begin to open
and fragrance the air.
Their beauty astounds me.
The colors sing to my soul.

These roses are from my garden this year.
I encourage you to go out and find a rose to sniff and enjoy.

They are all so beautiful! It's been a good summer for roses here, mine are blooming again, too. That's one thing I miss the most in winter. xx Karen

Portland sounds like a wonderful place to live or visit if it's called the City of Roses. The roses growing in our own gardens are particularly dear to us since they've been chosen to mark a special occasion, or because of the name or variety. Beautiful photos of yours today, Marilyn. Thank you for sharing them.

Again, I have to say the Portland rose gardens are stunning.
I have two more small blooms just coming out on my Peace rose - I'll go have a sniff when it cools off a bit later!
