Tea at the St. James Tearoom has been on my wish list
for a long time.
When I first got into tea I heard of the St. James
in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Each group has their own little room to enjoy
and share the tea time experience together.
I wasn't sure we would have time to stop for tea
when traveling recently, but when a tea friend
called and wanted to join us for tea
I just couldn't pass up this opportunity
to share tea and friendship.
Tea was served and we were treated as queens and kings.
What a treat!
Now if I could only remember everything on my plate.
On the skewer was a variation of Coronation Chicken.
The shrimp salad was soooo good,
as was everything else.
Oh I do love good savories and sandwiches at tea time!
Of course there were scones with real cream and lemon curd.
Delicious!
Though I tried, I just couldn't eat all of my sweets,
but the cake with the pansy was delicious (flower and all).
The powder sugar delight was filled with coconut.
Before saying farewell, there was one more picture under
the tearoom arch.
When traveling I love searching out new tea experiences
and sharing it with friends made it especially extra special!
