Harvest Time

As the days begin to shorten and the morning air is cool,
it is time for harvest.
Apple Fairs abound
Pumpkins turning orange
Tomatoes show their shining colors
Time to take a walk
crunching leaves beneath your feet
Oh, Autumn sings the glory
of the Summers sunshine warmth.

Enjoy a special time of harvest whether
visiting your local farmers market or
picking from your own garden.
The pumpkins in my garden this year
are a remembrance of the beautiful pumpkin fields in
Provence last year.
And yes, the yellow tomato is ripe, a heirloom variety
and oh so good.  Isn't she so pretty?  Oh course, she is a she,
how could she not be since she is so pretty.
Happy harvest time!

I love the smells and scents of Autumn. Fresh tomatoes on the vine have a perfume all their own!

This time of year, easily my favorite season. Your words described it perfectly.
And that tomato, cheese and Jewish rye sandwich your friend had sounds sooo good.

Oh, YUM...yum, yum... I miss a really good tomato. We just don't have the climate for them here, so I've stopped trying to grow them. Our little veggie patch didn't do so well this season--but salads & herbs thrived, so not bad. Loving this praise for produce, Marilyn :o) Happy Day! ((HUGS))

Your seeds truly did produce beautiful French pumpkins......I'm so impressed dear. Lovely tomaaaahtoes too (yes I still use the long 'a' when I say tomaaaahto!!).

Oh, my! My tomatoes are long gone. Each spring I threaten to plant pumpkins in the front yard and then I don't. Now I wish I had! Don't you just adore the colors of fall and its bounty? I am continually agog!
