Exploring

Not so very long ago I went exploring.
I love the outdoors and vintage delights.
Discovering beauty in my surroundings is definitely one of my passions,
especially when it involves the out of doors.
Even on a blustery, Winnie the Pooh sort of day,
I love wrapping up in mitten, warm coat, and a scarf,
and venturing out of doors.

Do you love exploring?
Where do you go when you go exploring?
Is it outdoors or a mall?
There are many ways of exploring
and I hope each week presents you with opportunities to delight your soul.

Happy Chinese New Year!
Open your doors and windows to let all the bad flow away,
then welcome the new year with a fresh face.

You found some very delightful vintage architecture! Yes, that is certainly my passion too - finding beauty wherever I may be. I love exploring the out of doors the best. Sometimes it is only my own back yard (violets and dandelions in the grass, for example); other, rare but treasured times, it's a walk out in the wilderness that I can get to with an hour-long drive. Or just a walk down the street. Beauty abounds!

I do love exploring, and there's something very special about being outside under less-than-ideal conditions! It's empowering to go out anyway.

I love your posts. Good to know a fellow adventurer. I have a tattoo of the word 'explore' in Arabic

What an enchanting house! That would be a treat for my explorations. I do like exploring, especially up north or in a charming town. I'd love to explore this spot!

I Love to go exploring Marilyn, outdoors definitely! My favorite spots are little out of the way towns, and waterfronts. The mall, I avoid like the plague!
Happy Chinese New Year to you also! We had home made chicken stir fry and fried rice for dinner. Mmmmmmmm!

Was thinking of Steph's comment of being outside under less than ideal conditions. I do find that a kind of "rush' too, though don't do it often enough. My brother and I walked outside in snow and rain and sleet during his stay after the holidays, and it was great to get that fresh air and come in then to warmth. Part of it was being out and seeing/feeling the elements but then the lovely contrast of warm inside (and tea). I like to experience and see opposites.

The three of us in this family love walking and observing seasonal changes each year...seeing the trees from spring to summer to fall to winter. What we seem to explore most are seasonal changes and remain very in tune with this both inside and outside the house. Even with our reading. It changes seasonally. It's very grounding somehow. To notice what each season brings that you love and even that part of it that you don't love. By livng with something you're uneasy with, you can sometimes find ways to experience it more fully and learn from it...even enjoy it. Sometimes. :-)

I love that you have Winnie the Pooh sorts of days. Blustery days are my favorite.
