Another Town, Another Teatime

Close to the end of our southwest adventure
my "live-in gardener" and I stopped for a short visit
with a college friend and his wife in Sedona, Arizona.
The red rocks and the surroundings were just beautiful.

We shared afternoon tea at the Jazz Bouquet Floral and Tea Shop.
The table was set and waiting for us as we arrived.
Each tearoom experience is a delight,
as the owners put their own twist on what they present.
I do believe that is one of my fascinations and
enjoyments in visiting tearooms as we travel.
 Tea orders were taken.
Then tea was served.
My tea choice was a Darjeeling from Tea Forte.
Since I didn't write the menu down, let's see if I can remember.
There was a smoked salmon with capers, egg and cucumber slices
on puff crackers, tuna on toast with tomato and pickle,
and my favorite was a chicken salad.
Scones with lemon curd and jam.
Dessert was fresh strawberries and chocolate truffle.
Here is the whole afternoon tea as it was served.
As each course was eaten the pedestal plate was
removed from the stack.

Another delightful teatime with friends as we traveled.

"When there is true hospitality,
not many words are needed."

I need to travel with you! We didn't make it to Sedona on this trip. Time didn't allow us to head that way. I love seeing your photos - it all looks delightful!

I'm so glad you enjoyed Jazz Tea Room. It is a casual, but well prepared tea. When I was there I enjoyed the meld of floral shop with tea time.

I just caught up with your last few posts, and it seems you got a good dose of the Southwest. Utah is exotic, but you must have seen it all. I love Grand Canyon. And you made it to Je L'Adore! and Cabin & Cottage in Albuquerque! I'm so glad that you found something that you like. Thank you so much! I hope you enjoyed your visit. We have a tearoom (St. James) here too, but it has been ages since I was there. I should check it out! Your tea jaunts looked to be delicious! Happy travels!

I've enjoyed another glimpse of your trip Marilyn. That photo of the huge cactus plant with the flowers is wonderful. The blue skies and rock formations are amazing and the meal at that charming tearoom looks delicious!

WOW... all that blue sky and all those red rocks... what a stunning sight! And tea too--yes! :) This tea has almost a picnic quality about it... I guess it's the slices of egg, bits of tomato, the strawberries... it has fun relaxed vibe. And it looked very fresh and delicious...mmm... Looks like you had some good eating along with all the good adventures! ((HUGS)) P.S. Loving the Native American quotes you're sharing with the posts too, Marilyn! :)

Such fun! You and I share the same reason for taking tea - each tea room owner has their own interpretation of afternoon tea, decor, and sandwiches. It's fun to enjoy a destination that is not a 'cookie cutter' restaurant! Thank you for sharing.

This tea shop is delightful. So many Yummy foods. My daughter is going to have a baby soon, and she wanted to have her baby shower in a tea shop, and the theme to be "Alice in Wonderland." Tea time is one of our favorite times of the day. : )
