Delight of the Day

This morning the wind began whipping around my house
and the rain came pouring down.
It was the kind of morning you just want to wrap in something warm
and sip a warm cup of tea.
Much to my surprise the electrical power went out
and just now it has come on.
I had just made my tea and the toast had just finished toasting.
I relished the quiet of the house in simple pleasure.
Perfect timing!
My delight for today was 2 hours of quiet with a warm cup of tea.

What is your delight for today?

Lovely that you had your tea and toast ready when the power went out. I really enjoy a quiet house too.

Nice outfit. Good that you got to have a quiet time. I do enjoy time alone but then sometimes it gets too quiet.

Ah, hard to beat a quiet house - like a sanctuary. And I really think tea makes everything better. :)

Oh, that is perfect timing! Love moments like those! ;o) My perfect timing is my own 2 hours with tea and making art this afternoon. The light is changing, the sun fading... need to turn on a lamp soon. Happy Weekend, Marilyn ((HUGS))

Wow, what perfect timing!

And so glad you could look on the peace of the power outage, as a delight. That is the way, to live life, my Dear!

Tea does make everything better...in fact it is only 6:30am and I am already on my second cup of the day. Tea and a cozy sweater...now that is joy. xoxo Happy weekend dear friend.

My delight today? That Jeffrey's mom health improved and she got the doctor's clearance to come for Thanksgiving.

we tea girls know that no matter what, tea is what warms us and soothes us and makes us feel like we can tackle the world after we've had a cup or two :)

I hate to say this but I love it when the power goes out. This is my excuse for finding a quiet corner and bring out my book to read. Dinner? Pheh!

I'm so glad you got your tea before the power went out! It sounds like a relaxing couple hours.

And the photo --- warm, cozy, and inviting!
