Winter Shine

A candle burns almost every day
With winter oh so dark
The light must come from other means
From the shine of a candle
the shine of a pretty flower
the shine of a warm smile or
the shine that sit inside our hearts.
Where is the shine of the light coming for you, dear friend?
How are you keeping the light burning?
Does the light shine in your heart today?
These are the ways I survive the darkness of winter.

Happy weekend, dear friends!
Make it a special one, even if it is just wrapping in a quilt
with a good book and a wonderful pot of tea.
Enjoy!

This is for me today, as I am not a winter gal...am a Floridian currently living in the Northwest (Boise) and HATING winter. My mood is often as gray as the sky! I needed the reminder that warmth can burn in my hurt even when it is 0 degrees outside.

Thanks,
Patti

My cats and dogs bring so much light into my home! Watching them play with something as simple as a ring from the top of a milk jug, or chasing a laser light, really lights up our days here! Have a wonderful weekend also, Marilyn.

I've spent the better part of the weekend wrapped in a quilt with a pot of tea. Cold, bitter, under the weather. And it's so very comforting!

Oh, this was sweet and lovely, Marilyn... LOVE the candle image! Lots of candles here, and especially during winter. The light of a burning candles inspires me to reflect loving light each day. :o) Happy week ((HUGS))

I do love the soft glow of candlelight. Yesterday I met a friend for lunch and received a belated Christmas gift of a new cinnamon-scented candle. It just makes the house smell so very cozy!
