There is nothing on this earth more
to be prized than true friendship.
~Saint Thomas Aquinas
I hope you are having opportunity to spend time with friends on this American holiday.
Many things bring great delight to me: tea, gardens, flowers, outdoors, food, and friends that cross my path. These all make my heart sing with small chuckles, giggles, laughter, and tears. It is my desire to seek beauty all around me, have the heart of a wanderer, a storyteller.

What a great quote!!
Beautiful photo and quote! Same to YOU!
I love your photo Marilyn, and the awesome quote. I'm just glad the whole week-end is over, been a tough one.
I did spend time with friends yesterday, but accidentally! Someone forgot to reschedule our monthly garden club meeting, so we had it anyway and about half of us were there. Fun times -- especially when a member showed up with free plants for everyone!
I love deer -- except the ones that run into you! What a glorious sight to discover!
Great quote! We spent the holiday weekend at a Primitive Skills camp with friends - 9 of us in all (plus all the others attending). Great time!
What a beautiful quote! Someone said you get to choose your friends, but not your family. I was with my family yesterday, and I have to say, if they weren't family, I would have chosen them as friends. I gave a plaque to my daughter several years ago that said, "If you weren't my daughter, I would have chosen you for my friend." That's how I feel about my three grown children and their spouses.
So much truth in your quote. Looks like the deer are busy in your garden.
Lovely! I agree with this quote. We spent the afternoon at a neighborhood block party, so I felt very blessed. Hope you had a lovely holiday, too, Marilyn! xo
