Give Away for Christmas

Recently I realized I hadn't had a give-away in way too long.
I still had two books from my book shelf I wanted to give to someone.
With Christmas coming I knew the time was now.
Yes, the end of October and I am beginning to think of Christmas.
If I don't do it now I don't get to enjoy the time when December arrives.
I like to have cards and gift buying done by Thanksgiving;
then I can play, go to tea, and bake to my hearts delight.
And listening to Christmas music!!!
Have you started?
I adore Christmas music and December is just not enough.
So yes!  I am listening on my IPod when I walk on the treadmill at the gym.
The holiday bazaars start in November and there
is one I particular love; so I will be there with bells on
and my camera ready.

Just leave me a comment to be in the running
for the book give-away.
I will announce the winner next Friday because then it will be November.
You can also email me and I can enter your name
if you don't leave comments.
Very important!!!!  Just make sure there is a way to find you
and let you know you are a winner.

Quote found in The Twelve Teas of Christmas:
The rooms were very still while the pages were softly turned
and the winter sunshine crept in to touch the bright heads
and serious faces with a Christmas greeting.
~Louisa My Alcott, Little Women

Happy Weekend, dear friends!

Oh, I love that quote by Louisa May Alcott. I won't enter, since I have that lovely "Alice in Wonderland" tea party book from you. But the Twelve Teas of Christmas sounds interesting. I'll look it up in the library.

How fun, Marilyn! Thanks for hosting this -- and I'm delighted to enter.

Your narrative for this is so beautiful! I have to admit, I'm not ready for Christmas but I'm getting a little more excited about it being near! Give me a week!

I have those two books and enjoy them often. Because I have them, please don't add me to the drawing. I want someone else to have a chance but I just couldn't stop by without saying I SO enjoy these books. Will look forward to hearing that someone else will have the same pleasure.

Hi Marilyn, thank you for the chance to enter. The books sound wonderful and so perfect for Christmas. Anyone will enjoy them! I make my own Christmas cards every year and I definitely need to get started soon. I've already started on jewelry that I made for the ladies in the family. The year is flying by so quickly! Thank you again.

I happened to come upon your blog when I saw a comment at another blog. Good timing? No, don't count me in on your giveaway-I have way too many books and you've actually given me an idea in how to unload a few! lol!

I agree with you, get the shopping and decorating done first so you have time for card writing, baking, and don't forget those Hallmark movies!!

Marilyn, you are a gal after my own heart. I love listening to Christmas music too, and I like to get all the cards out and shopping done early so I can enjoy this wonderful season. The books sound delightful, and I would love a change to win your giveaway. Tea time is special to me, and I'm sipping on Chamomile right now.

*have you started watching the Christmas shows yet? Hallmark movies are some of my favorite. : ) There is an old "Little Women' Christmas show that I love. I can't
seem to find it anywhere though.
