Tea should be taken in solitude.
~C.S. Lewis
I hope you are sipping your tea this morning and enjoying
some time of solitude.
I had some time of solitude sitting in the swing with my tea,
watching the hummingbirds, and experiencing this beautiful view
of Whitewater Lake, Wisconsin.
Can you believe it, I actually had another opportunity to photograph hummingbirds.
I am home now, but my time in Wisconsin was precious.
Blogging friends, seeing some new country, having tea in solitude, and enjoying my nephews wedding.

The picture of the lake feels like the perfect summer evening..I can hear crickets!
Hope that you summer has been wonderful - it certainly looks like it from your beautiful posts!
What a wonderful place to sip your tea and enjoy some solitude! I'm wishing I was someplace like that with a good cup of tea - and some birds chattering above.

Never seen a Hummingbird-wish I could, but that lake veiw is almost as good as my Lake Illawarra veiw. Tea in solitude can be very peaceful I think.
I have my cup of tea right here my friend...and I am soooooo enjoying your lovely images this moring..reflecting on my Summer and thinking about the upcoming season. xoxoxo
What beautiful photos, and what a magical time for you. I'm so glad you were able to find some solitude. I find that when I travel, after being around so many friends and strangers, solitude is crucial!
Beautiful and serene. While you were having tea in Wisconsin, I was sitting in a busy little cafe in HR having my tea. Busy! Exactly the opposite, but that's all I had time for! The next morning, though, I had tea at the CGH and it was serene. Loved this post, Marilyn!
Our Indian neighbours taught me how to brew up *real* chai.
So, tea has been reborn for moi! xo
Your photos are lovely. Looks like the perfect place to enjoy tea in solitude.
this post is so serene and inviting.

Don't you love lakes Marilyn? Just something very relaxing when looking out at calm, flat water and the different light patterns throughout the day. Oceans and the seashore are magnificent, but lakes a bit more friendly and less threatening perhaps.
Glad your trip was so enjoyable.
Enjoy your Labor Day holiday.
Hugs - Mary
Beautiful pictures. I have taken a moment to catch up with the outside world. Marilyn thanks for understanding my creative chaos...
Oh these are so beautiful. The first one is absolutely beautiful. The second makes me feel peaceful and solitary. Perfect.

Tea in solitude... it tastes very good. With a cup of tea in hand, one is very really alone. Glad you had a great time way, Marilyn :o) ((HUGS))
What nostalgia for me, Marilyn. The lake picture is a visual of a treasured memory of my time on Post Lake in No. Wisconsin. We would visit my Uncle Cap and Aunt Helen there. I loved fishing at the end of the dock, jumping into the lake, feeling the fish tickle my feet as I swam, and tramping through the back of his property carefully avoiding the quicksand area.
A cup of tea enjoyed in quiet solitude is one of the finest pleasures in life!
Love this, longing for a bit of solitude with my tea lately.
