Garden Quotes 2019

More than half a century has passed,
and yet each spring,
when I wander in the primrose wood
and see pale yellow blooms,
and smell their sweetest of scents...
for a moment I am seven years old again
and wandering in the fragrant wood.
~Gertrude Jekyll

All pictures are from my garden this week.
Have a delightful week, dear friends!

Ah, Gertrude Jekyll - she did have a turn of phrase, didn't she? I do love your photos!

The white flowers with the yellow centers are beautiful. They look like stars! And the last Purple ones....I love the color! Yes, the sweetness of flowers makes us feel like a kid again. : )

Love your mossy woodland area. The sweet Spring flowers will be happy there. We have grape hyacinths flowering now and I've just planted out new hellebores in a shady place. I would like to find some trilliums in the garden centre to add to my woodland collection. I like the quote by Gertrude Jekyll, an inspiring plants woman.

Ooohhh... this is LOVELY, Marilyn! Spring is just tenderly beginning here... Each spring feels like the first one, in a way--always feelings of surprise and wonder. :) Happy Spring Days, my friend ((HUGS))

My thoughts exactly - on the same page with the amazing Ms. Gertrude J. - such a fabulous gardener - our childhoods were apparently alike when it came to primroses ad woodland memories!
