Breakfast in Bed

Are there days you would love to be served breakfast in bed? I do think of having breakfast in bed, but what do you do with the crumbs from that lovely piece of toast or scone? Would my lovely tea spill? The breakfast tea set was a birthday gift from my husband last year. It is yellow, my favorite color, and has garden scenes. Now wouldn't that be lovely to use for breakfast in bed. I can have fantasies of breakfast in bed, but so far that is as far as it has gone. I even have the pile of books next to my bed. Ahhh! Dreaming of the luxury of sitting in bed with breakfast and books. Delicious!

I think I must plan breakfast in bed one of these days. I would have a lovely oolong tea, maybe Oriental Beauty, also a couple freshly baked cream scones with jam (of course Marmalady's!) and cream, maybe some fresh strawberries too.

Sweet Dreams!

Oooooooo, Marilyn! How beautiful! And I just LOVE the breakfast set! I have long wanted a vintage chintz breakfast set. Where did your wonderful husband find such a beautiful piece of tea equippage???

I found the breakfast set in an antique shop in Washington and pointed it out to my husband. I said it was entirely too much to pay; so passed it up. Then when my birthday came along there it was. A very pleasant surprise!

From one Marmalady to another --Greetings!

Might i suggest toast & marmalade (home-made of course!) for your breakfast in bed?
Scones & jam are much more a tea-time treat!

Hi, Marilyn - I'm so excited to meet you soon!!

That is a gorgeous tea set! I have had the privilege of breakfast in bed, and here's an idea: Spread a quilt or sheet over your bed coverings, then when you're done, scoop up the cover and shake it outside.

I do hope you indulge!

Hi Marilyn -- just in case you dont find my reply to your comment on my blog:

I found your blog through Google Alerts -- it tells me whenever you update your blog as well as any other occurrence of "Marmalady" on the web!
I have been "Marmalady" in several places for quite a number of years now -- and it is the name I sell my Cakes & Preserves under.
