Enamored with Glass - part #8

Pedestal Cake Plates
Have you seen Martha Stewart Living this month?
More cake plates, including Depression Glass green
Pressed Glass Cake Plates
Where did I get so many cake plates? I have no idea.

Martha Stewart Living has a whole photo layout and articles on
glass cake plates. Check out the February 2010 issue.
I wish I could take photographs like in the magazine. I
have a long way to go. It was fun to try though.
Do you see a picture and wish you could copy it?
Do you try? Someday, I tell myself, I will be
able to take beautiful pictures like in the magazines.

Glass cake plates add to a beautiful table and
make whatever sweets you are serving more beautiful.

Friday will be my 400th post.
I can't believe it, but the numbers say it is true.
Visit me everyday, but especially on Friday for a give away announcement.

Beautiful photos, and I've been seeing so many pretty things with cake plates lately! My "dream" photographer is Toshi Otsuki, the talented man who often supplied the photos in Victoria magazine during the Nancy Lindemeyer era. He had a great appreciation for natural lighting, and when my photography skills grow up they want to be like him!

I love your photos of the cake plates. I don't think you can have too many cake plates! I've just recently started finding more and adding a few to my collection. Some day I may have to add on a room just for my collections! Yes, I do study photos in magazines and wish I could do what they do. And, yes, some day I think I may be able to come close. In my dreams, at least.
Hugs,
~Adrienne~

I adore the glass plates also. I love the cake plates especially. I am trying to get rid of what I don't really need. I seem to "need" all of these glass plates!

Depression cake plates, I recognized them as soon as I began to scroll. My wife also has a huge collection. They are beautiful, aren't they?

Your glass collection is gorgeous, Marilyn! I have a weakness of pretty china and glass too! I'm forever trying to get the knack of taking photographs like in the magazines--I see so much in them to inspire all the time. Photography is something I've been working on a lot since last year--more this year too. 400 posts--what a wonderful milestone. I'll stop by for your fun this week. Happy Days :o)

What a fantastic collection, Marilyn. We have exactly ONE cake pedestal (thanks to Don and his annual Christmas banana plate).
