The August Break 2014 - Black - White

When I see black and white photography I love it.
For some reason I don't play with black and white;
so I loved that the theme today.
Do you like black and white photography?
Sometimes we see something different by not be distracted by the color.
 Something to think on:
In life nothing is just black and white, but all the shades in between.

Hi Marilyn! After a long break, I'm back. I love black and white photographs, There is a quote I put on my blog a while back, don't know the exact one, but basically if you see a picture in color you see the color of the clothes if you see in black and white you see the soul. It's so true.

I agree. For example, in this image, if it were in color, I would have noticed the flowers as the predominant element. But now I see the leaves and their interesting texture.

Oh, I do love black and white photography! When I think back to the images that have most made an impression on me over the years, they are often black and white ones that featured a certain light or texture. There's just a "something-something" (as a friend of mine says) about B&W. Love this photo!

This is beautiful, Marilyn... just love the contrasts here and the gentleness of it. Like you, I love photography, but don't dabble in black & white too much. I should try more of this too! I love color so much, so I suppose I just gravitate to color photography most. But black & white is a good teacher. And I like your analogy to life here--very well put. Happy Day ((HUGS))

What a wonderful image. I loved your blue ones, too. Especially the marching band!

I just wanted to drop by and let you know that Grace Gal won my give away. Thanks so much for playing along.
