The August Break 2014 - something new

The "something new" theme for today rather stymied me for a moment.
Then I remembered that yesterday I bought new shoes to wear for working out at the gym.
I love Nike Free shoes, they are soooooo comfortable
and with each pair they improve.
This pair has great extra protection on the big toe right where I usually wear them out.
They are so light, it is almost like walking barefoot.

So there you have it, that is my "something new" for today.
I didn't even have to try them on at the store, I just knew they would be perfect.
In the photo is the first time trying them on.

If you had to choose something new today, what would it be?

Love your shoes Marilyn, I just got back from the church and we were talking about new walking shoes. My one friend showed us hers, and they aren't much different than yours! But anyway, if I had to chose something new it would be a door for our house. This one we have is in really ruff shape. Would be nice to have a more welcoming one!

New walking shoes make me feel like I could walk forever. So great that you've found ones you really like.
My something new would be new buds on my rosebush that are just starting to open.

I love the look of your new shoes! I need to get more walking shoes so I can give the ones I wear often a rest. I have been taking my dear, little mother to the eye clinic for some ongoing issues. Her specialist's assistant has a whole wardrobe of bright, fun Nikes. They all wear black scrubs with the company logo so she told me the only thing she can do to add some bling is her shoes and earrings. I'm inspired by her - and you! Time to get some fun, good shoes.

I would choose the 'new' day - it is a fresh beginning, another chance at sharing love and joy with family and friends, a new beginning to stick to the healthy eating, and knowing that there is another new day to live and love all over again.
