Room with a View

Last week when I was laying in my hospital bed I had the most beautiful view.
As the sun came up the nurses turned my bed so I could watch the sun rise
over Mt. Hood.  Isn't this amazing?
Thinking of my word "Grateful", I could only feel that word strongly
as I was Grateful for the special nurses that would take the time
to show me the beauty outside my window.
I actually called my husband and asked him to bring me my camera for this shot.

I think it is the little things in noticing what we notice that can make our heart "grateful"
and feel the JOY and delight of each day.

Every time I see Mt Rainier in WA, or Mt Baker, I catch my breath. Such beauty and inspiring to the soul.

Hi - I wasn't aware that you were inthe hospital. I will send prayers and healing thoughts to you in Portland. Your story of theview from your room touched me deeply. When my sister's husband was in hospice for his final days she asked for a room with a view facing East so he cold see the sunrise. So they cold watch the sunrise together. And so they did, turn the bed, toward the window with a view facing East and one day in January they watcher the sunrise together one last time while Peter Paul and Mary sang their favorite songs. Amen. I hope you are well soon,.

What a gorgeous view if you have to be in the hospital. Wondering which hospital you were in so you could have that beautiful view. And I'm so glad you are at home again and hoping you are on the mend.

That's a really lovely view. If you have to be in the hospital, how nice to open your eyes to that mountain. I hope your recovery continues to go well.

Dear Marilyn, The view is beautiful and quite breathtaking.
The word "grateful" is a well chosen word. There is so much each and every day to be "grateful" for that simply goes unnoticed.
I hope you are doing well and feeling better. xo Catherine
