Winter Happiness

In winter I look for color and light.
These are touches of color I have found in the month of January.
Some are in a greenhouse, but still blooming in winter.
Light is found in burning candles and twinkly Christmas lights.
Often as I drink my morning tea I burn a candle or two to add light to a dreary morning.

I hope just these happy flowers make you smile today.
What makes you happy on a dreary winter day?

Oh, so pretty in winter - what is that second one down, reminds me of fireworks!

Like you Marilyn, I love to light candles whenever it's dreary outside - and in the evening along with the fire to brighten up the darkness. I still light the tree in the gazebo every day at dusk, also the lanterns with faux candles on the front porch (they are set on a timer so don't have to bother with them). So all in all, the cottage is twinkling through these dark winter months.

Happy thoughts coming your way.

Oh, these signs of growth and life are extra appreciated in winter, aren't they?! It's snowing here today. In winter cozy things are a must--candles, tea, quilts, lots of reading, a cat on the lap... LOL... Later today I'll be taking tea via Skype with a friend who lives are away--that will be a highlight for this day. :o) Happy Weekend, Marilyn ((HUGS))

So pretty to see so many pretty flowers bloom in January. I love candles too; and soft flickering lights.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful and colourful flowers. Such a variety you've seen already in January! Underneath the blanket of snow I know we have snowdrops. Yesterday we had sunshine and blue skies and the snow's reflective light made our living room seem bright. Today there are grey skies, but as the snow melts it's possible to go out, very tentatively, for a breath of fresh air. That makes me happy!

Are those your "NOW" photos, Marilyn, or from a warmer time? They're gorgeous (and I'm a little envious!)
