Word for the Day - 2020

 Hospitality

This year the word at my church is Hospitality.
"I was a stranger and you welcomed me."
Matthew 25:35

How do you practice hospitality?

Wikipedia: Hospitality is about people welcoming other people
into their homes or other places where they work or spend their time.

Could hospitality be shown in other ways?
Is Kindness a form of Hospitality?

The pictures represent one form of hospitality in my home.
What thoughts come to mind when you hear that word?

You surely show hospitality when inviting people in your home, Marilyn. You always have scrumptious treats and tasty teas that you serve your dear ones. And your table spread looks Yummy. I like that blue table cloth. There's just something about blue, isn't there?

I love your hospitality pictures. We've been talking about "radical hospitality" at my church, too.

I love your version of hospitality! I agree -- welcoming people for meals or to stay, or even if a short visit, making them feel welcome. That's a wonderful word!

Beautiful table settings showing great hospitality. Welcoming someone into your home is a great way to show hospitality.

Hospitality makes me think of my mother who often asked people home for dinner after church on Sunday. She still cooks for company - just this past weekend she had her younger siblings and spouses (6 of them) over for a turkey dinner that she and my father cooked. I hope I'm as involved when I'm 83!
