Christmas Flowers

A Christmas Cactus is a fun plant to have for flowers during the holidays. There are two in this window, but this one has already started to bloom. I think it must really be a Thanksgiving Cactus. Once the other starts blooming it will bloom all through the winter. They bring joy and color into our home during the drab winter months.
Blooms on the Paper Whites. They are in full bloom now and so pretty.
Here is the vase of Paper Whites I showed you not long ago.
Flowers are a real joy during the holidays and winter months.

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day yesterday full of good food and special people.

Oh, just gorgeous! I have some paper whites in the fridge. I'll bring them out at New Year's. How exciting - I bet they smell so good! Thank you for the holiday greetings!

Yes, it is a Thanksgiving cactus. The leaves are more lobster shaped and the flowers are salmon colored. The Christmas cactus has a more slender leaf and the flowers are pinker. Susan

Your flowers are beautiful! I wish I had the green thumb that most other members of my family have. My children say I have a red thumb - which means I like to shop. Ha Ha. Happy Holidays.

All the pictures on your lovely blog are so beautiful! Thank you for creating such a lovely site! On a very cold afternoon in England, the site of your Christmas flowers, really cheered my heart! I hope you had a Happy Thansgiving - I wish we had such a feast here!!
